Written during the pandemic lockdown and produced by renowned Catalan producer Chalart58, “Fake News” is a dose of rebellious, thought-provoking reggae that stays true to Antidoping’s conscious spirit.
The song was recorded in Mexico by reggae legend Errol Brown, historic sound engineer for Bob Marley, at Soga Recordings Studio. His contribution gives the track an authentic feel deeply rooted in the foundations of reggae. Other acclaimed sound engineers also contributed their talent to the track, including Hans Mues, Oswaldo Blanco, Álvaro Wanatox, and Leonardo Peña, whose experience helped shape this powerful sonic explosion.
“Fake News” not only bridges generations within reggae, but also weaves together nationalities and soundscapes. The collaboration between Mexico (Antidoping), Spain (Chalart58) and Jamaica (Errol Brown) results in an organic fusion where Jamaican dub meets European sensitivity, Latin rhythms, and the vibrant energy of Mexico City.
